Glancy, O.D. & Laura Freeman O.D. are dedicated to helping you improve your vision and maintaining good eye health. For your additional convenience, our locally owned and operated clinic is open Monday through Saturday 9am-5:30pm.
Kevin L. Glancy, OD
Dr. Kevin Glancy is originally from Christopher, Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. His optometric education was at Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana. After graduating in 1989, he moved to Champaign and became an associate doctor in the Champaign LensCrafters. Dr. Glancy became the leaseholder at the beginning of 1996, and continued through the end of 2020. In 2021, a new independent office was created to better serve our patients with higher quality eyewear, and eye care. Dr. Glancy enjoys keeping the office up to date with new technology, and offering the latest in contact lenses as they come to market. Dr. Glancy has a particular passion for bifocal contact lens fitting. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling to new places, golf, and his annual fishing trip to Ontario.
Laura Freeman, OD
Dr. Laura Freeman earned her degree with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1994. She practiced optometry with a focus on contact lenses and ocular disease management for 2 years in Chicago and 6 years in San Francisco before relocating to the Champaign area in 2002. She has been caring for patients in our office since the spring of 2003.
Dr. Freeman is passionate about both patient care and service. In 1997, she participated in a Gift of Sight mission trip to Bolivia, helping provide more than 16,000 eye examinations for the indigenous communities in need.
Outside the office, Dr. Freeman enjoys traveling, hiking and gardening.
Luke Armstrong, OD
Originally from the Effingham area, Dr. Luke Armstrong is a 2020 graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. Following graduation, he provided care at the Walmart and Sam’s Club Vision Centers of Champaign, Savoy, and Urbana until joining our team in May 2025. Dr. Armstrong focuses on providing personalized vision solutions and comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with a specific clinical passion for pediatric eye care. He is dedicated to creating a positive first eye care experience for children and monitoring their visual development as they grow.
When he isn’t in the office, you can likely find Dr. Armstrong enjoying the outdoors with his wife and son or working on his home. As a lifelong Illini fan, he is proud to live and serve in the Urbana-Champaign community along with his wife, who serves local veterans as an optometrist at the Danville VA.
